Microchipping

Microchipping

The most useful tool that animal rescues and the veterinary clinics associated with them have found when lost pets are brought to them is the microchip. This tiny computer chip, the size of a grain of rice, is usually found near the shoulder area of the animal under the skin. It holds an identity number that is registered with the manufacturing company. This number corresponds specifically with your information, so the clinic or rescue group can reunite you with your pet. Make sure and keep your information updated with your veterinarian and the microchip company. If a microchip is something that you would like to add to your pet's profile at Animal Hospital of Clinton, please call us for an appointment.
